Bridewell to remain with Supersonic BMW

Supersonic BMW have confirmed that Tommy Bridewell will remain with the team for the remainder of the 2012 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship season following his strong performances in the opening races.
Bridewell was given a last minute reprieve by the Italian squad after he looked set to miss the season and he scored the team a superb sixth place; the best result for BMW in MCE BSB and just missed out on a top ten finish at Thruxton.
Bridewell said: "My first impressions have been very good. I felt really at home and now that I have signed for the whole year, I feel more comfortable to push a hundred per cent as I was a bit careful in the first two rounds as I wanted some good results but also to find a good feeling with the bike. I know how hard I have to ride to run towards the front; I know what it takes and I honestly believe that within the next three rounds, you'll see us running consistently in the top six - that's what my target is. We have a lot of learning to do with the bike, the team has a lot of learning with me, so the next round at Oulton Park is another challenge for us."
The 2012 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship returns to Oulton Park this May Bank Holiday weekend (5/6/7 May). Tickets are available on the gate for £10 on Saturday, £13 on Sunday and £30 on Monday with free admission for children aged 12 and under.
